Thomaston Lena Lapio, 86, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was the wife of the late Raffaelo "Ralph" Lapio, Sr. Lena was born in Thomaston on May 12, 1933, daughter of Joseph and Louise (Cecila) Famigletti. She was a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 1951. She was an active member of St. Thomas Church, the Thomaston Historical Society, and the Thomaston Senior Center. Lena also loved to spend her time reading books. Lena is survived by her children, Ralph Lapio, Jr., of Torrington; Patricia Lapio, of Thomaston; and Paul Lapio, and his wife, Susan, of Canton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph in 2016. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
