Gilbert, AZ - Mrs. Lynne (Ericson) Benninger, 59, passed away August 6, 2012 at the Hospice of the Valley - Lund Home in Gilbert, AZ. She was the wife of Kurt Benninger of Chandler, AZ. Lynne was born on December 25, 1952, in Torrington, CT., daughter of Evelyn (Rudberg) and the late Robert Ericson. She grew up in Thomaston, Ct., graduated from Thomaston High School and received her degree in Chemistry from the University of Bridgeport. Lynne and Kurt were married and lived in Thomaston in 1976 before moving to San Juan Capistrano, CA where they resided for many years. Lynne was a chemist for ITT Cannon. Later in life, Lynne and Kurt moved to Chandler, AZ where she enjoyed spending time on her ranch riding her many horses. Lynne is survived by her mother, Evelyn Ericson, and her brother, Mark Ericson, both of Thomaston, and her husband, Kurt Benninger, of Chandler, AZ. Lynne is predeceased by her father, Robert Ericson, and her twin sister, Karen Ann Ericson. A private funeral service will be held, presided by the Reverend Peter Smith, minister of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery.
