Torrington - Marie Louise Kilman, 90, passed peacefully at Brookdale Litchfield Hills Assisted Living in Torrington. Born and raised in Thomaston Marie attended Thomaston High School. She married her beloved husband, Harry P. Kilman, on June 12, 1948. After 65 years of marriage, Harry predeceased her on May 17, 2014. As a life-long Thomaston resident, Marie was a devoted wife and mother, and cared deeply about her family, friends, and community. She was the daughter Giuseppe Piazza and Teresa Saccon Piazza. Maries strong connection with and frequent visits to her family in Conegilano, Italy brought her great joy. Marie served as Chairperson for the Thomaston Opera House and was secretary and a teachers aide at St. Thomas Parochial School in Thomaston. She was also a staff member of Pine Knoll Swim School in Longmeadow, MA and a member of the Thomaston Womens Club. Marie is survived by her son Peter and his wife Regina (Hartley), her son Paul and his wife Jacquelyn (Penta), and her daughter Pamela and her husband Eric Rosow. Left to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Jonathon, Rachael, Julia, and Harry, and her many nieces and nephews. Her greatest happiness in life was her family and she was always there for them. The family extends its deep gratitude to the caregivers, the staff at Brookdale, and the VNA who assisted Marie during her final years. They would like to especially thank and are forever grateful to Christina DAmato whose love and caring support brought so much comfort during Maries last years. Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 15, from 4:00 P.M. to 600 P.M. PM at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas R.C. Church on Monday, January 16, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
