Mrs. Marjorie G. (Root) Meyers, 97, died Wednesday morning, March 28, at Cook Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. She was the widow of Henry W. Meyers. Mrs. Meyers was born December 26, 1914 in Plainville, MA, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Burt) Root. She was a graduate of Boston University and had been employed as a legal secretary for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce E. Olsen and her husband Mark of Thomaston; her brother Howard Reid of Plainville, MA and five grandchildren, Tim Olsen, Joshua Olsen, Gabriel Olsen, Malik Olsen and Sabrina Olsen. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 2:00 at the Covenant Church, 64 Grove St., Thomaston. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Animal Rescue Foundation P.O. Box 538 Thomaston, CT 06787 because of her love of animals or Thomaston Track & Tennis Committee, 158 Main Street c/o Treasurer's Office Thomaston, CT 06787 because of her love of her grandchildren.
