Thomaston- Mrs. Marlene A. (Plante) Rainville, 76, died Tuesday, September 11, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Donald G. Rainville.
Mrs. Rainville was born November 16, 1935 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Yelle) Plante. She was raised in Chicopee and attended local schools. She moved to Thomaston in 1956 and had worked for Thomaston Special Products and retired from Sequel Products in Waterbury; she was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and will be remembered for love of cooking and knitting.
In addition to her husband of 57 years she is survived by her two sons, Bruce G. Rainville and his wife Sandy of Chesapeake, VA and Bryan D. Rainville and his wife Michele of Thomaston; her daughter, Denise A. Rainville of Thomaston; two sisters, Pearl Murdza of S. Hadley Falls, MA and Theresa Crescione of Easthampton, MA; five grandchildren, Jimmy, John, Anna, Jillian and Brentan; one great-grandson, Kyle and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 14, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Committal prayers will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
