Thomaston- Mrs. Olga (Oleshko) Parson, 88, died on Friday, April 20, at her home. She was the widow of Clarence W. Parson. Mrs. Parson was born March 4, 1924 in Thomaston daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Horbal) Oleshko. She had been a loyal employee of the Thomaston Police Department for 28 years, starting in 1960 and retiring on July 8, 1988. She was a member of the Covenant Church of Thomaston and enjoyed watching UCONN womens basketball and taking care of her plants. She is survived by one son, John W. Parson of Gary, IN; one daughter Shirley Parson of Mystic; two sisters, Anna Rosko of Terryville and Mildred Stack of Kent and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at her grave in the Hillside Cemetery on Saturday, May 19 at 2:00 P.M. Burial was held privately this morning. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Lyons Funeral Home of Thomaston. Memorial contributions may be made in Olgas name to the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department South Main St. Thomaston
