Thomaston- Mrs. Ruth (Thomson) Baldwin, 84, died Thursday, January 10, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of Raymond B. Baldwin.
Mrs. Baldwin was born in Waterbury on October 16, 1928, daughter of the late John and Marie (Haase) Thomson. She was a lifelong resident of Thomaston and was a graduate of Thomaston High School class of 1946. She had been a volunteer at the Thomaston Public Library for many years as a reader in the childrens section. She was a member of the Northfield Bible Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two son, Todd H. Baldwin and his wife Judith of Torrington and Tracey L. Baldwin of Thomaston; one brother, Harold Thomson of Thomaston; one sister, Evelyn Umphrey of West Springfield, MA; two grandchildren, Laura Foley and her husband Robert and Joshua Baldwin and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Anthony, Kailyne and Brayden. She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Thomson.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at the Northfield Bible Church on Saturday, January 19, at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours.
