Plymouth- Mrs. Ruth C. (Perkins) Brophy, 93, died Saturday, August 25, at St. Marys Hospital. She was the wife of Richard Brophy.
Mrs. Brophy was born December 2, 1918 in Plymouth, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Bierce) Perkins. She had been employed at the Eagle Lock Co. and Thomaston Special Products. She was a member of the former Plymouth Monday Club and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Robert Brophy of Plymouth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Perkins.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 29, at 9:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
