Thomaston- Mrs. Stella (Rogozinski) DeBrot, 91, died Thursday, January 9, at Vitas Innovative Care at St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of Edward R. DeBrot.
Mrs. DeBrot was born April 1, 1922 in Thomaston, daughter of the late Felix and Pauline (Roman) Rogozinski. Raised in Thomaston she attended local schools and was a graduate and Valedictorian of Thomaston High School and had attended the Post Junior College in Waterbury. For 13 years Stella and her late husband, Edward, had lived in India and Aruba; when she returned to Thomaston she had been employed as an executive secretary at Tech Systems. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele D. Spaulding and her husband Russ of Huntingtown, MD and five grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, David, Peter and Catherine. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and Henry and sister, Helen.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in the spring in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
