Thomaston- Mrs. Virginia A. (Cole) Gangloff, 89, died Monday morning, May 21, at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon. She was the widow of Francis G. Gangloff.
Mrs. Gangloff was born December 4, 1922 in Patterson, NY daughter of the late Grandville and Marian (Booth) Cole. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and for her love of cooking and baking. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Gangloff of Bristol and Harold Gangloff of Thomaston; four daughters, Virginia Smith of Manchester, Shirley Goodfellow of Dover Plains, NY, Joanne Gagnon of Aiken, SC and Susan Brown of Plymouth; one sister, Dorothy Marcum of Washington, IN; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Thomas Gangloff, one daughter, Linda Gangloff, one sister, Marian Cole, one grandson, Rich Smith and one granddaughter, Lindsay Gagnon.
Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 24, at 12:30 P.M. at the Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston. Family and friends may call at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time to leave for the cemetery at 12:00 P.M.
