Thomaston - Mrs. Wilma H. (Coons) Hirleman, 77, of Thomaston, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of Mr. Thomas Hirleman, Sr. Wilma was born on March 28, 1937 in Great Barrington, MA. She was a long time member of the Eagle Rock Congregational Church in Thomaston. Wilma loved to crochet, do jigsaw puzzles, and attend to her garden. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. Wilma is survived by her daughter and care giver, Cynthia J. Hirleman and her significant other, Larry Walker, of Thomaston; her son, Thomas Hirleman Jr., of Thomaston; her daughter, Jessica Hultslander, of Vero Beach, FL; four brothers and sisters, Gladys Boudreau of Massachusetts, Faith Turner of California, Stanley Coons of Wisconsin, and Al Coons of Thomaston; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence Coons, Manny Coons, and Kenneth Lloyd Coons; and two sisters, Shirley Delterio and Lorraine Carey. The family would like to thank the Hope Team and the VNA Hospice nurses for their love and compassion shown to Wilma during the final months of her life. A graveside service was held on May 16 at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston.
