Thomaston-Anne Marie Sipkowski, 56, passed away on Sunday, October 21 at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. Anne was born March 24, 1962, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Alphonse and Barbara (Bouley) Sipkowski. Raised in Thomaston, Anne attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School, Class of 1980. She had been employed at Plymouth Spring, Bristol and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion, Kiltonic Post 72 in Southington. Anne is survived by her sister, Kathy Curtiss and her husband Robert of Thomaston, her niece Kourtney Gaudiosi and her husband Dan of Terryville, two great nephews, Daniel and Joshua, several cousins, including Jay Shypinka and her beloved cat, Smoke. The family would like to acknowledge all of Anne's friends that were supportive of her during her illness. Anne enjoyed being at the beach, Indy car racing, being with her family, especially party planning, cooking and baking. She will be forever remembered for her Christmas cookies. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 3, at 10am at St Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will be private.
