Thomaston Mrs. Norma (Cahill) Pinette, 75 passed away on Monday, October 30, at her home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Julien J. Pinette.
Norma was born February 5, 1948, in Presque Isle, Maine, daughter of the late Stephen and Marjorie Irene (Marquis) Cahill. Norma moved to Thomaston with her family as a child and eventually would meet her future husband of 44, years Julien. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and will be remembered for her love of family gatherings, trips to the casino with family and friends and the special times spent with her children & grandchildren. Over the years, Norma and Julien started and operated several businesses including Normas Trucking, Thomaston Oil and United Coach and Limo. Norma had worked for Cometrics in Thomaston, Cole Screw Machine in Naugatuck and continued to work for Thomaston Oil until this July.
Norma is survived by two sons, Michael J. Pinette and his wife Breia, Jason J. Pinette and his wife Amber, daughter Michelle R. Marsh and her husband Michael; eight grandchildren, Kaylin and her husband Joe, Lindsay, Tyler, Tayler, Nathan, Nicholas, Alexia and Hailey and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her eleven siblings.
Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
