Thomaston Mrs. Patricia M. (Ryan) Roman, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, at St. Marys Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of Myron Roman who passed away in 2015.
Patricia was born October 21, 1938, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Maxwell) Ryan. Raised in Plymouth, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Terryville High School, class of 1957. She had worked as the secretary of sales for the McIntire Company in Bristol for thirty-one years, retiring in 2009. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church.
Patricia loved spending summer vacations on Cape Cod with her family. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and baking, but most important were her adoring 4 grandchildren and day trips with her devoted nieces.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Guzzardi of Mount Sinai, NY, and son, Wayne Roman along with his partner, Laurie Mosley of Harwinton; and one sister, Karen Fischer of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Lauren Guzzardi, Michael Guzzardi, Connor Roman and Kendyl Roman and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her infant daughter, Susan Anne Roman and eight siblings.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning, January 18, from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street in Thomaston. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
