Obituary

Thomaston- Mr. Paul F. Barberet, Sr., 86, of Atwood Rd. died Monday, February 11 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret (DiLena) Barberet. Mr. Barberet was born September 18, 1921 in Thomaston son of the late Charles H and Evangeline (Parsons) Barberet. A life long resident of Thomaston he attended local schools and retired from the Seth Thomas Clock Co. were he worked as a clock maker for 43 years. He had served honorably in the United States Army in the medical corps during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Clifford French Post in Thomaston for over 50 years and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Paul F. Barberet, Jr of Winsted and David M. Barberet of New Hartford; one daughter, Valerie E. Rittucci of Woodbury; one brother, Charles Barberet of Thomaston; one sister, Dorothy Olmstead of Woodbury and eight grandchildren, David M. Barberet, currently serving in the United States Army stationed in Afghanistan, Kathryn Barberet, Jill Barberet, Patrick Barberet, Marie Barberet, Timothy Barberet, Joseph Barberet and Thomas Rittucci. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14 at 11:30 A.M. from the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston to St. Thomas Church for mass of Christian burial at 12 Noon. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are today (Wednesday) from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance South Main St. Thomaston, CT 06787.
