Torrington- Mr. Paul Joseph Novak, 65, died on Thursday, October 11, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his longtime friends and family. Paul was born November 17, 1946 in Milford son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Marchant)Novak. For many years of his life, Paul was a member of the Southbury Training School community. He was then welcomed into the home of his guardians, Julie Andring (Morgan) and the late Dr. Tom Morgan and then Bob McGoldrick. Paul became an integral part of the family and a member of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston. At the time of Pauls death he resided in Westledge group home near Julie and Bobs house. The spark in his eye, his wry smile and savvy wit will be missed by all. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 10:00 A.M. at the Northfield Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Thomaston. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Memorial contributions may be made to Supporting Individuals in Society C/O the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street Thomaston, CT 06787, all donations will be used to support Pauls former day program.
