Thomaston- Richard G. Truelove, Sr., 72, of Edgewood Ave. died Tuesday, November 20 at his home. He was the husband of the late Jean (Tyler) Truelove and Kathleen (Rosadini) Truelove. Mr. Truelove was born March 23, 1935 in Waterbury, son of the late George and Ester (Gordon) Truelove. Raised in Waterville he attended local schools and had served honorably in the United States Army. Over the years he had worked as a milkman for Litchfield Farms, as a machinist for Defco, several years at Easter Seals Rehabilitation and retired from the Town of Thomaston. He was a member of the VFW in Watertown, were he served on the honor guard and the American Legion Clifford French Post #22 in Thomaston. He had coached mens softball for many years and was an avid bowler. He is survived by one son, Richard G. Truelove, Jr of Thomaston; one daughter, Eleanor Beardslee of Thomaston; two brothers, George Truelove of Ohio and Robert Truelove of Watertown; one sister, Barbara Hallenborg of Waterbury; four grandchildren, Holden Truelove, Mason Truelove, Kelly Beardslee and Casey Beardslee. He was predeceased by a brother, Ike Truelove. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24 at 10:00 A.M. at the Covenant Church, Thomaston.
