Thomaston - Robert Donaldson, 78, of Thomaston died July 25, 2016. Robert was born on August 3, 1937 in Winsted, son of the late John and Edith Donaldson. He worked at Devon Precision of Wolcott for 25 years. He leaves his wife, Doris; his two daughters, Lisa Johnpiere and Christine Donaldson of Naugatuck; two brothers, John of Waterbury and George of Litchfield; a sister Eloise Ross of Florida; and his two cats and best friends, Peanuts and Booboo. A service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 30 at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the start of service at noon. Burial is private. The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Raad, VITAS Hospice, CCCI of Watertown and Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance.
