Mr. Robert Winters Jacobs
N. Attleboro MA Robert W. Jacobs, 60, of Cliff Drive died suddenly Monday, September 24, 2007 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband to Anne (Shanks) Jacobs.
Mr. Jocobs, was born in Waterbury on December 24, 1946 son of Madolyn Elizabeth (Winters) Jacobs and the late George Jacobs.
He worked as an electrical engineer by trade in Attleboro at Signal Integrity. Robert graduated from Thomaston High School in 1964, furthered his education and received a BSEE in 1969 from UCONN in Storrs, then went to North Eastern University in Boston and received a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1974.
Robert was an avid reader and his favorite Author was Robert Jordon who wrote the series Wheel of Times, he also just passed on September 16th from heart complications. He was very proud of traveling the world and participating with developing and marketing technology with the National Defense and also was involved with marketing the Septic Charcoal Filter. Had interest in Archeology, Science, Physics and anything that was "new and unusual". Robert found enjoyment in day trips finding places and restaurants to stop at. He was describes as being a loving father and husband.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a son Sean and his wife Debbie Jacobs of Fairfield, two daughters, Megan and husband Art Harding, Ashley Jacobs both of Colorado, two brothers, Richard Jacobs of Roxbury, Ronny Jacobs of Thomaston, two grandchildren Jackson and Katherine Harding, one niece, three nephews, two Aunts, one uncle and several cousins. Robert was predeceased by his father and a brother Randy Winters Jacobs.
Arrangements: The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11: 15am at Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
