Thomaston Mrs. Shirley Rae (Brown) Budris, 85, passed away on Thursday morning, April 28, at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Waterbury. She was the widow of William C. Budris, Sr. Shirley was born October 29, 1936 in Bristol, daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (OConnell) Brown. Raised in Terryville she attended local schools. Shirley had been employed at Seth Thomas Clock and retired from the Siemon Company in Watertown. She was a fan of the New England Patriots, UCONN basketball and enjoyed NASCAR. She is survived by two sons, William C. Budris Jr and his wife Theresa of Thomaston and Thomas A. Budris and his wife Jessica of Terryville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece and her close friend Robin Budris-Stevens. She was predeceased by her son, Brian Budris and brother, Raymond Brown, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 2, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Friends may visit with Shirleys family from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
