Shirley A. Chamberlin, 75, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Cook Willow. She was the wife of the late Ira Chamberlin. Shirley was born in Waterbury on July 8, 1940 to the late Eugene and Beatrice (Moore) Evon. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Thomaston, who loved gardening and walking. Shirley also loved animals, especially her cat, Midnight. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Betty Chamberlin, and her husband, Robert, of Thomaston; her step-son, Walter Chamberlin; her step-daughters, Donna Severson; Linda Volovski; Karen Cozza-Turner; and Joann Vansickle; her brothers, Roy Evon, of the Virgin Islands; Eugene Evon, of New Hampshire; and Randy Evon, of Waterbury; her grandchildren, Russell Chamberlin; and Amy Chamberlin; her great-grandchildren, Alexis; Jamie; Maddie; Rusty; and Gavin; her cousin, Diane Mazzeferro; and extended family. She was predeceased by her step-son, Chuck Chamberlin; her brothers, Greg; Harold; Joey; and Bobby Evon; and her sister, Adeline Evon. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Church, 110 Reynolds Bridge Road, Thomaston. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held privately.
