Thomaston - Shirley Elizabeth Johnson, 65, of Thomaston , CT was welcomed into the glorious presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 21, 2021. She was the wife of Robert E Johnson. They shared 41 blessed years of marriage. Born August 25, 1955 in East Providence, RI to Howard and Shirley (Poyas) Barks, she was a deeply devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, friend to all, and a saint, indeed. Beside her husband Robert she leaves three children, Jeremiah with his wife Elycia and their four children, Caleb, Gabriel, Piper, and Titus; Micah with his wife Emily and their three children Gideon, Jordan, and Jael; and Rachel ; her siblings: Ernest, Leslie with her Husband Carl; Howard with his wife Deborah; and Susan; many nephews and nieces; and a world of blessed acquaintances. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Bethany. She delighted in spending time with family, baking, gardening, charity work for orphans and widows, and volunteering in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital ER. A graveside service with Christian burial will take place Saturday, May 29th at 11:00AM at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston, CT.
