Thomaston- Mr. Stanley Borowy, 87, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Agnes G. (Carey) Borowy. Mr. Borowy was born March 2, 1921 in Terryville. He had retired from Wyeth Medical in Waterbury, was an avid gardener and had an interest in geology. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and had served honorably in the United States Navy. In addition to his wife of 61 years he is survived by one son, Vance Borowy of Vancouver, WA; two daughters, Pamela Donaldson of Birmingham, AL and Patti Axelby of Fishkill, NY; two grandchildren, Don-Michael Hart and Nicholas Borowy and one great grandchild, Zoe Hart. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial will be private.
