Thomaston – Stephen D. Knox, 47, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Steve was born in New Britain, Connecticut on September 1, 1977, son of the late Bartholomew J. Knox, II and Debra Ann (Brown) Knox. He was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 424 and the Waterbury Fishing Club. Whether casting a line at sunrise or tossing a perfect shot in cornhole, Steve loved the simple joys of life-and few could match his skill at a cribbage board.

Steve leaves behind his siblings, Bartholomew J. Knox III, Jim Knox, Thomas Knox, and Michael Knox; his uncle, Doug Brown; his aunts, Denise Didsbury, and Darlene Hubbard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Including his parents, Steve was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Knox.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston.
