Thomaston- Mrs. Susan (Krizan) Henderson, 84, formerly of Danbury, died Thursday morning, April 5, at Valerie Manor in Torrington. She was the widow of Robert Henderson. Mrs. Henderson was born April 15, 1927 in Danbury, daughter of the late John and Anna (Simek) Krizan. She was raised in Danbury and was a graduate of Danbury High School and had been a communicant of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Susan had been working as a secretary in Danbury when she met Robert, the love of her life. They married and moved to Thomaston and raised a family. She had been employed as a secretary in the Assessors office in Thomaston until her retirement in 1990. She was an active communicant of Our Savior Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and reading, but most especially she enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one son Robert Henderson and his wife Norma of SC; one daughter Beverly Aubrey and her husband Blake of Thomaston; four brothers, George Krizan and Sam Krizan both of Danbury, Emil Krizan of Stepney and Daniel Krizan of New Milford; three sisters, Elizabeth Krizan, Christine Musgrave and Paula Scozzafava all of Danbury; four grandchildren, Allison Kizis and her husband Quinn, Robert Henderson and his wife Grace, Jaclyn Henderson and Melanie Aubrey; several nieces and nephews and she was looking forward to the arrival of her first great grandchild in May, Aiva Sophia. She was predeceased by her sister Anna and brothers John, Paul, Martin and Stephen Krizan. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, April 9, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church 505 South Main St. Thomaston, CT 06787. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Monday morning. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Our Savior Lutheran Church 505 South Main St. Thomaston, CT 06787
