Susan Johnson, age 61, of Thomaston CT, passed away on October 2, 2023. She was born on August 27, 1962, in Flushing Queens, New York. Susan was a strong woman who worked diligently throughout her life. She had a wide circle of friends who fondly knew her as 'Baby Sue.' Susan was a caring and loving individual who always ensured the well-being of those around her. Whenever anyone needed help she readily offered her support in any way possible no matter what. We all know she had her moments of being unfiltered and expressing her opinions and judgments, that was simply a part of who she was she was also a Virgo. Those who looked beyond that knew that Susan had a compassionate heart, and she loved her dear ones intensely. She often shared stories of her childhood, teenage years, and rebellious days, reminiscing about her upbringing in New York. Family stories were a big part of her memory, full of laughter , tears and beautiful moments spent as a family. Susan had a captivating personality and a unique sense of humor that only a few could truly understand. She had a remarkable ability to make herself laugh, lighting up the room with her bluntness and wit. Susan had a close bond with her sister, Tomei Favorito. After the passing of their father, John J Favorito, Susan took guardianship of Tomei and became a mother figure to her. She dedicated herself to providing love and care, ensuring that Tomei had the support she needed while creating endless memories theyd share with eachother throughout the years. Susan's parents, Donna and John J Favorito, who raised her throughout her life and provided an outlook on life in a positive prospective before their passing. Professionally, Susan worked at Flushing Hospital for many years. She found fulfillment in her career and genuinely loved the work she did. In her leisure time, Susan indulged in getting manicures and pedicures, as well as shopping. Most of all, she loved cooking home meals for the family during the holidays, even made sure to share her recipes for Tomei to carry traditions. She also liked baseball and was a fan of the New York Yankees. Susan Johnson will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her sister, Tomei, and the many friends whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace. Services Private Services
