Waterbury - Susan E. (Mickunis) Soresino, 87, of Waterbury, passed away on January 26, 2013, at Waterbury Hospital. Susan was born on March 19, 1925 in Oxford, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Drulis) Mickunis. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School, class of 1943. Susan moved to Seymour and was a resident there for over 33 years before moving to Woodbury in 1983. She lived in Woodbury for many years before settling in Waterbury. She was a home health aide for Help Unlimited, a former member of the Woodbury First Congregational Church, the Woodbury Senior Center, the Woodbury Womens Club and the Oxford Grange. Susan loved playing cards, spending time with family and will always be remembered for her delicious apple pies. Susan is survived by two daughters, Donna Gray, of Thomaston, and Reyna Soresino of Waterbury, with whom she lived; a son, Raymond Soresino, of Queensbury, NY; eight grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Soresino; three brothers, Joseph, Albert and Victor; and two sisters, Helen Close, and Ann Berry. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Eagle Rock Church, 110 Reynolds Bridge Road, Thomaston, at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
