Obituary

Thomaston- Mrs. Teresa (Minervini) ONeil, 83, died Wednesday morning, October 9, at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville. She was the widow of James E. ONeil. Mrs. ONeil was born March 10, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Ortenzio and Rose (Papiano) Minervini. Raised in Waterbury she had attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School class of 1947 and a graduate of the Comptometer School of Waterbury in October of 1948. She had been employed by the Colonial Bank and Trust Company, retiring in the late 1980s from the Bank of Boston. She was communicant of St. Thomas Church; was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of the Clifford French Post #22 and enjoyed attending drum and bugle and fife and drum competitions. She is survived by her three sons, James J. ONeil and his wife Paula of Thomaston, Timothy K. ONeil and his wife Theresa of New Milford and Charles A. ONeil and his wife Diana of Watertown; six grandchildren, James, Christopher, Jessica, Alexandra, Olivia and Christina and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Joseph and Art and her sister Connie. The family would like to thank the staff of the Intermediate Care Unit at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley and the staff of Mulberry Gardens for their compassionate care. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 11, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Friends and family are asked to meet at the church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
