Thomaston- Thomas E. Murray, 47, of Park Place, died suddenly on Thursday November 5, 2009 at his home in Thomaston.
Thomas was born in Hartford on February 17, 1962 to George and Frances (Crandlemire) Murray. He had attended Schools in West Hartford and college in Florida. Tom was a noted computer programmer and enjoyed mentoring others in computer science. He had a passion for military history and was a strong supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces and his sisters military career. He was also a mentor for young people in the community, of which several went on to serve their country in the Armed Forces.
Thomas was preceded in death by his twin brother, Timothy. He is survived by his parents, Frances Murray of DeLand, FL, George Murray of West Hartford, and three brothers, Neil Murray of McLean, Virginia, Michael Murray of West Hartford, George Jay Murray of West Hartford a sister Colonel Kelly A. Murray, U.S. Army and a niece Molly Anne Murray, McLean, VA. He also leaves many friends in the Thomaston area.Arrangements: Calling hours will be at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston, on Wednesday, November 11, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
