Northfield- William R. Foley, Sr., 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. He was the loving husband of Sylvia (Grohoski) Foley. William was born on November 28, 1938 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Kenneth and Ina (Knox) Foley. Prior to his illness he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling, and family vacations on the beach. Most of all he cherished Sunday dinners surrounded by his family In addition to his wife of 56 years, William is survived by his children, William Foley, Jr., and his wife, Christie, of Gulf Breeze, FL; Melissa Foley, and her fianc, Chris Gonzales, of Torrington; and Colleen Dickey, and her husband, Mark, of Northfield; his siblings, Sandra Silano, of Torrington; and Kenneth Foley, Jr., of Idaho; his grandchildren, Kelly Skinner; William Foley III; Charlene Kupernik, and her husband, Thomas Naeff; Jacob Kupernik; Shannon and Deanna Dickey; his step-grandchildren; Danny McLaughlin; and Paige Maloney; and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Galgano. All services will be held privately.
