Thomaston- Mr. William 'Bill' P. Hart, 72, went to his eternal rest in the loving arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, March 12, and was greeted by his father and mother the late Donald B. and Leah M. (Chapman) Hart. Bill was born in New London on February 3, 1938. He had retired from the Torrington Company and was a member of the Eagle Rock Church. He will be remembered for his love of sports and being an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his sister, Donna E. Sanford of Thomaston; his brother, Raymond L. Hart of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eagle Rock Church, Reynolds Bridge Rd. Thomaston. Burial will be in the spring in the Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
