Thomaston- Mr. William N. Lorusso, 53, of Branch Rd., died Saturday, December 20, at St. Marys Hospital after a courageous battle with many illnesses. He was the husband to Mary Anne (Rafaniello).
Mr. Lorusso was born March 3, 1955, in Waterbury to Mrs. Solange (Perreault) and the late Mr. Nicholas Lorusso.
William was a HolyCrossHigh School graduate, he attended Kaynor Tech for Electrical and became a general contractor and was self employed. He enjoyed helping people and put uniqueness and customization into everything he could. William was a member of St. Thomas Church of Thomaston, the Thomaston Fish and Game, Bristol Fish and Game and The Bass Club. He was a true outdoorsman with a love for nature, spending time on fishing trips, on his snow mobile and vacationing with friends and family. Despite his illness he always found strength to live his life to the fullest. He will be missed by many.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, David Lorusso of Thomaston, a daughter, Jessica Lorusso of Prospect, a brother, Mark Lorusso of Watertown, a sister, Nicole Lorusso of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Nicholas.
Arrangements: Everyone is invited to gather Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston to arrive at St. ThomasChurch for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
