Thomaston - William R. White, 85, of Thomaston, died on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home.
William was born on May 21, 1927 in Bennington, Vt., son of the late George R. and Marguerite M. (Curren) White. A Naval veteran of World War II, he left the service and pursued a career at Pratt and Whitney United Technologies where he spent 38 as a mechanic and aerospace worker. He was always proud of his military service staying active as a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Adeline (Perbeck) White and his twin brother Donald White. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Black and her husband Edward, and Kimberly Corriveau and her husband Gary; two sons, William White and Jeffery White; four grandchildren, Dawn Tomaszewski, Jason Black, Christopher Corriveau and Nicole Corriveau; and eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at St. Thomas Church, 19 Electric Ave. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the Church.
