Northfield – Mr. Arthur R. Richards, 62, formerly of Thomaston, passed away Thursday morning, July 20, at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Grace I. Walker.

Arthur was born December 8, 1954 in Torrington, son of the late Ronald S. and Elizabeth (frost) Richards. Raised in Thomaston he attended local schools and was a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in Torrington. He had been employed at Pratt and Whitney for 45 years. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and was an overall “Jack of all Trades”.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Arthur R. Richards, Jr of Northfield; two daughters, Clarissa G. Wiles of Northfield and Lisa M. Richards and her fiancée Matthew J. Ludwig of Norfolk; five brothers, Ronald Richards of NY, Mark Richards of Thomaston, Daniel Richards of NY, David Richards of Naugatuck and Robert Richards of GA; three grandchildren, Leena and Ryan Smith and Casey Ludwig and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held tonight, July 21, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Northfield Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.
