Terryville- Carlton E. “Buster” Williams, 88 of Terryville, formerly of Thomaston, passed away on September 8, 2022 with family by his side. He was the loving husband of Linda (Corriveau) Williams for 25 years.
Born on January 9, 1934 in Thomaston, son of late Carlton E Sr. and Lillian (Knox) Williams. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Div., earning his Jump Master Wings after completing 52 jumps. He was also an honorary member of the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years. Buster was an avid bowler, and his world revolved around his great grandchildren, grandchildren, and their friends who called him Grampy.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind his daughter Jamie Kelley and husband Mathew; his sister Debbie Williams; 5 grandchildren- Christopher, Brenda, Carlton, Ashley, and John; 4 great grandchildren- Nathanial, Alexis, Cassidy, and Emmalyn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sons, Fred and Scott; Siblings Sandra and Walter; and several half siblings.
Family and friends may call on September 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:30PM at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St. Thomaston. A service to follow. Burial will be held privately.
