Christopher J. Morrison

Thomaston – Attorney Christopher James Morrison, 63, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully in his home on March 12, 2022 with his family by his side after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Carolyn (Costello) Morrison for 32 years.

Christopher was born on August 2, 1958 in Waterbury, son of the late William and Eleanor (Kane) Morrison. Chris graduated from UConn in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and where he met his wife. The two of them lived in Italy and traveled through Europe as students. Chris later attended Western New England School of Law in 1993 and owned his own private practice in Thomaston for over 16 years. He took great pride in practicing law and serving his clients. Chris loved traveling, vacationing in Cape Cod, golf, and skiing. He was a longtime UConn sports fan, enjoyed live music and loved the Grateful Dead. His happiest times were Thursday night golf with friends, swimming at Newcome Hollow Beach with his kids and watching the Huskies win.

Besides his wife Carolyn, Chris is survived by his three children, Jane Morrison, William Morrison, and Michelle Morrison, all of Thomaston; his siblings, Ralph and his wife Sandra Morrison of Park City, Utah, Margo Morrison Pollard of Dublin, California, and Nancy Killelea and her husband Dean of New Hartford. Chris, Carolyn and their children always had a wonderful time vacationing with Ralph and Sandra at the Cape every year.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. Burial will be held privately.
