I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

We have been neighbors for the last five years. Dan has shown himself to be the true definition of a "Good Neighbor". Dan & I shared many spirited discussions, which I will miss, during our dog walks. I would walk my dog and Dan would walk our neighbor's dog twice a day in all kinds of weather. In addition, Dan would pickup our neighbor's paper from the driveway and put it on the porch and also move her garbage can up to the garage. I once indicated that it was very nice of him to do those things, and he responded "That is what Neighbors Do". May God Bless You Dan.

I will miss Dan's Irish Brogue greeting and warm smile. He was always cheerful and helpful. A wonderful neighbor. So glad to have known him.

My husband Greg and I were very lucky to have gotten to know Dan in his time working at Taft. He was always smiling and joking and he made everyone around him happy. Please know we are thinking about Dan's family at this sad time. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Dan was a part of the spirit and everyday working of Taft, and he always propped you up with a quick word and witty comment. Even after he retired, I'd see him a couple of times a year in the main hallway on his visits, looking the same, same voice and spirit. We had a great time playing soccer versus the boys' varsity team at the end of the season--I still have one photo of all of us in the snow at the end of the game. We'll miss him!
