David Paul Dwyer died on Friday, March 12, 2021. Born on August 5, 1953 to the late Richard Paul Dwyer and Marion (Albrecht) Dwyer, he was raised in Plymouth, CT, was a 1971 graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol and lived in Bristol for 20 years before moving back to Plymouth. He retired from United Parcel Service after working there over 40 years as a Feeder driver and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 671.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Volovski) of Plymouth; his daughter Sarah Jane Jakeway and her husband Philip of Toronto, ON Canada; his daughter Rebecca Faulkner and her husband Thomas of Burlington, CT; his mother Marion of Torrington, CT; and his aunt Mary Ellen (Dwyer) Fiorot of Plainville, CT. He also leaves behind his 3 brothers, Mike Dwyer of ME, Rick Dwyer of Thomaston, CT, and Peter Dwyer (Kathy) of Englewood, FL. He also leaves behind many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, godchildren, neighbors, and friends.
David enjoyed spending time at the Forestville Fishing club where he served as a Past President and taking trips to his camp in Haynesville Maine. Most of all he enjoyed retired life with his wife, working in the yard with his John Deere tractors and spending time with his 4 beloved grandchildren: PJ, Josie, Jonathan & Ella.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. Everyone may meet on Thursday at St. Thomas Church, Thomaston, for mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in West Cemetery.
