Thomaston – Mr. Edwin Carlton Millard, III, passed away on Monday, May 21, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Joan (Andrews) Chesanek-Millard.
Edwin was born May 23, 1955, in East Stroudsburg, PA, son of the late Edwin C. Millard, Jr and Dolores (Lane) Millard. He retired from the Housatonic Railroad, Berkshire route, in Canaan after twenty years as a trackman. He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion, was an avid bowler for over thirty years and will be remembered for his love of plants, birds and nature.
In addition to his wife he leaves, two sons, Edwin C. Millard IV of Reeding, CA and Matthew Millard of Danbury; one step-son, Patrick Chesanek of Thomaston; two daughters, Kimberly Anne Millard of Brookfield and Alyssa Millard of Danbury; one step-daughter, Noralea Chesanek of Thomaston; two brothers, John Millard of Rescue, CA and Michael Millard of East Stroudsburg, PA; two sisters, Elaine Hollywood of Phoenix, AZ and Joan Millard of NJ; three grandchildren, AJ, Austin and Aubree and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private.
