Thomaston - Frances (Kakowski) Dilger, 91, lifelong resident of Thomaston, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of the late Frederick Dilger.
Born on September 30, 1928 in Thomaston, to William and Mary Ann (Ramutkoski) Kakowski, Frances attended local schools and graduated from Thomaston High School. She worked as receptionist and retired from the Groz-Beckert Company in Torrington. Frances cherished time spent with family and will be remembered for all the love she shared with them.
Frances is survived by three daughters, Lydia (Dan) Kalat, Cynthia Grenier, and Penny (Joe) Longo; grandchildren, Tamara Gregory, Joel Grenier ll, David Hawley, and Christopher Hawley; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helena Towne and Cecilia Downey; three sister-in-laws, Adeline Dilger, Karin Dilger, and Mary Kakowski; as well as her several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Edmund Kakowski and Robert Kakowski; and one sister, Mary Ann Frank.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston
