Thomaston – Mr. George C. Neddermann, 85, of Thomaston, passed away on April 5, 2018 at the VITAS Innovative Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of 60 years to Mrs. Beverley (Dick) Neddermann.
George was born on Nov. 5, 1932 in Waterbury, son of the late George J. and Marion (Botsford) Neddermann. He was the owner of Neddermann’s Florist in Thomaston, CT for more than thirty years and served in the military police during the Korean conflict. In his retirement, he enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod and working outside, and could always be counted on to laugh at his own jokes.
Besides his wife, Beverley, George is survived by his son, Todd Neddermann and his wife Gina and their children Mitchell and Claudia Neddermann; and his daughter, Sherrie Fitzpatrick and her children, Kathryn and Sean Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his daughter, Karlene “Kay” Decarlo; and his sister Barbara Jayson.
The family would like to thank the staff at VITAS for their kindness and compassion in caring for George.
Family and friends may call on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Thomaston, 135 Main St. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately in Hillside Cemetery. T
