George Ubermuth
July 31, 1959 ~ September 22, 2018 (age 59) 59 Years Old
George Ubermuth, "Mule", died peacefully surrounded by family on September, 22nd in Concord, New Hampshire. He was 59 years old. He lived in Vermont, but was a long-time resident of Thomaston, Connecticut.
George is survived by his daughter, Trisha Ubermuth, as well as siblings Paul and Janis Ubermuth of Thomaston, Sue and Doc Smitley of Thomaston, John Ubermuth of Winsted, CT, Karl and Margaret Ubermuth of Florida, and Thomas Ubermuth and his wife Diane of Bristol, CT, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by siblings Robert, and Sandra, and parents, Paul and Catherine Ubermuth.
George was born in Waterbury, CT on July 31st 1959, to Paul and Catherine Ubermuth. He was a jack of all trades, but specialized in home building. He could fix almost anything.
His friends and family remember him as an incredibly kind person with boundless spirit. He was witty, charming, and had an extraordinary mind. He was a skilled woodworker and handy craftsman. He loved motorcycles and had many great times which he shared through countless stories.
A wake is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th at Lyon's Funeral Home, 46 High Street, in Thomaston, Connecticut. Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
