Thomaston - Mrs. Irene Mary (Rogozinski) Maslak, 80 years old, passed away on Tuesday night, May 15, at home with her family. She was the wife of Victor G. Maslak.
Irene was born June 6, 1937 in Thomaston, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Borowski) Rogozinski. She was raised in Thomaston, attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. She worked for many years at Eastern Photographic Laboratories and thereafter as the Office Manager for her husband's insurance agency. After her retirement, she worked part time at Plymouth Glass and Mirror.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by three sons, Darryl J. Maslak and his wife Lucille, Dennis P. Maslak, and Kerry L. Maslak, and one daughter, Geraldine M. Gerdauskas all of whom are from Thomaston. She is also survived by two brothers, Peter Rogozinski of Farmington and Bernard Rogozinski of Simpsonville, SC and one sister, Eleanor Chizinski of Thomaston; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin V. Maslak, son-in-law, Francis R. Gerdauskas and her brothers, Leonard, Ronald and Richard Rogozinski.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Cemetery.
