Northfield – Mr. Joseph Noreikis, 71, of Northfield Passed away on July 29, 2021 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was the loving husband of 49 and a half years to Debra (Fries) Noreikis.

Joseph was born on February 10, 1950 in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Demenske) Noreikis. Joseph worked as the Head of Recycling for the Town of Litchfield for a number of years before his retirement. He was a member of the Harwinton Rod and Gun Club for 50 plus years; loved hunting and fishing; and cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandkids.

Besides his wife, Debra, Joseph is survived by his daughter, April Embelton and her husband Steven; two grandchildren, Miranda and Lincoln Embelton; his sister, Kathy Boxer and her husband Kevin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Troy Noreikis.

Calling hours are Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church (St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish), Thomaston. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
