Joyce A. Miner

Thomaston – Joyce A. (Knox) Miner, 75, passed away on Saturday, November 20, at the Waterbury Hospital.

Joyce was born November 23, 1945 in Torrington, daughter of the late George and Claira Knox. Raised in Bantam she attended local schools until moving to New Milford and graduating from New Milford High School, class of 1964. She had been employed at Winchester Electronics, in New Milford, moving with the company to the Watertown location and retiring in 1998. She will be remembered for her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons’ Thomas E. Miner of Thomaston, Michael J. Miner and his wife Lynn of Thomaston and Jason W. Miner of Clarksville, TN; one daughter, Pamela A. Murphy of Torrington; several siblings; eleven grandchildren, Alaina- Joy, Michele Warzocha, Kathryn – Olivia Miner, Skylar – Lynn Miner, Tiago Pedreira, Adriano Pedreira, Teddie-Ann Miner, Dylan Thomas Miner, Brandon Miner, Jacob Miner and Zoe Miner; six great-grandchildren, Rylan Warzocha, Layla Warzocha, Liam Bentley Lawrence, Liliana Pedreira, Gino Pedreira, Lorenzo Pedreira and Kiara Nason and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 12:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street Thomaston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will be private.
