July 18, 1933 ~ April 24, 2023 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Thomaston/New Hartford– It is with sadness that we announce our mother, Lois Pecco Foy, died on April 24, 2023, after a long full life.

She was born on July 18, 1933 to her parents, George and Marjorie Knox of Thomaston, CT, where she grew up, married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Pecco, and raised her family. The majority of her working career was spent at Winchester Electronics, breaking glass ceilings, rising to the position of credit manager.

She and our dad loved spending time at their log cabin in Massachusetts. She was an avid UConn girls’ basketball fan right up to the end. She attended as many of her grandchildren’s sporting events as she could. Her life revolved around her family. She was a wonderful cook and there was always room at her table for one more. She was an expert knitter and crocheter.  Ten years after the passing of her husband Ken, she was lucky enough to find love again with William Foy. They enjoyed traveling the US in their RV with the highlight being their three-month trip to Alaska that she reminisced about just days ago.

She was predeceased by our dad Ken in 1992 and her husband Bill in 2016. She is survived by her daughters Becky Gorman and her husband Jim of Canton, and Tammy Dayton and her husband Brian of Thomaston; her unofficial children, Michael Knox, Desiree Baker, Eric Knox, and her stepdaughter, Wendy Foy; her grandchildren, Alissa and Jeff Nageotte, Brianna and Nick Boston, Aaron Gorman, Kathryn Gorman, and Rebecca Stockman; her great-grandchildren, Sienna, Ruby, Sophia, and Harper; a host of nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Jane Feliciano; and her loving friend Marion Gorecki who checked in with our mom every single day. She was predeceased by her brother Floyd Knox.

We wish to thank the staff at Avon Health for the wonderful care they provided for our mother over the last few months.
