Lucille Wilcox

Plymouth - Lucille Noel (Hart) Wilcox was born in Winsted on January 21, 1936, passed away peacefully at Cook Willow Healthcare Center in Plymouth on March 28, 2023. Lucille was the wife of the late Robert Wilcox who was the love of her life.

Lucille was known to many as Mom, Mommy, Mama Lucy, or Lulu to some. Lucille enjoyed riding her lawn mower even if the lawn really didn’t need mowing. She could be seen working in her yard or just sitting on her deck with the other love of her life, her dog Sammy. She enjoyed playing her organ in which she called her son, daughter, and others every year on their birthdays to play and sing happy birthday. Lucille loved to smile and laugh and wanted to make everyone around her do the same. Lucille worked for Tyler Automatic and Gayner Electric in Thomaston. Lucille drove a school bus in Thomaston for close to 25 years until her retirement.

She leaves behind a son Wallace Hart (Debbie) of Manchester, a daughter Sandra Hart-Olivero (Allan) of Thomaston. Several Grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. She also leaves a sister Sylvia Bolvi of Torrington, and brothers George (Eileen) of Las Vegas, Charles Noel (Sandy) of Winsted. Besides her husband Bob, Lucille was predeceased by her daughter Debbie Hart, her sister Lorraine Fox.

Those who knew her loved her. She leaves many dear friends and neighbors-Kathy, Ruth, Donna, Robin, Lorraine, Dale, Tanya, Isabel, Rich and his wife Denise, and her neighbors who she loved and did so much for her and Bob for many years, Matt, Dana, and Day who was like a granddaughter to Lucy.

Lucy’s family would like to thank her care givers at the Cook-Willow Healthcare Center.

Visitation is Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be held at a later date.
