Maryanne Legendre

December 27, 1936 ~ September 29, 2020 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Tribute

Thomaston - Maryanne Legendre was born to Alphonse and Bertha Legendre on December 27, 1936 and passed away peacefully on September 29, 2020. She was 83 years old.

She resided in Northfield for most of her life. Family was her most important treasure. Maryanne is survived by her brother, Theodore Legendre Sr. and his wife Marie Legendre, three nephews:
Theodore Legendre Jr and his wife Beth Legendre, Jeffery Legendre and his wife Lori Legendre
and Jeremy Legendre, four great nieces: Jessica Liskin and her husband Jeffrey Liskin, Sarah
Schapp and her husband Fred Schapp, Becky Legendre, Hannah Legendre and a great
nephew Noah Legendre, along with two great great nephews: Freddie Schapp, Leon Liskin and
two great great nieces: Aliana Liskin and Evelyn Schapp; all of whom she loved dearly. She
was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends...she had many friends that adored her.

She had a love of life and lived it to its fullest every day. Next to her family, she loved her
church. She belonged to St. Thomas Church of Thomaston where she spent much time
honoring her Faith. She was a CCD teacher, a founding member of the Legion of Mary Mother
of Divine Grace where she took care of her church community, as well as being involved in
many other parts of her church. Maryanne was a Registered Nurse. She worked in many
different hospitals along with private duty nursing for many years until she left nursing to
selflessly take care of her aging parents, aunts and uncles. She took care of many wonderful
lives throughout her life. Maryanne lived a beautiful life of love and giving; she will be
remembered fondly. When you see a butterfly, think of her fluttering around to see all of her
beloved friends and family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial of cremains will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
