Thomaston – Nancy L. Penza, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 31, at her home.
Nancy was born December 31, 1932 in Kenosha, WI, daughter of the late Rudolph and Vera (Watkins) Penza and sister to her late brothers, Rudolph and Gale Penza.
Nancy had a passion for adventure – not only by adopting three children from India and raising them on her own, but in how she enjoyed spending her free time. She loved traveling with her family, riding rollercoasters, camping, and hosting cookouts for family and friends and was an avid reader. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Torrington and had many dear friends there.
Nancy is survived by her son, Dana Penza and puppy, Ellie of Brooklyn, NY; her two daughters, Alana Penza (Edward) of Warrenton, VA and Kaylin Penza of Thomaston; her granddaughter, Annabelle and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 6 at 1:00 P.M at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St. Thomaston. Friends may visit with Nancy’s family from 11:30 A.M. until time of service.
