Thomaston – Mr. Nicholas A. Ventresca, 81, of Thomaston, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sandra (Passero) Ventresca.
Nicholas was born on April 11, 1937 in Waterbury, son of the late Albert and Josephine Ventresca. Nicolas served honorably and proudly in the United States Air Force and was a longtime member of the Torrington Elks Club. He enjoyed fishing, photography and spending time in his workshop.
Nicholas is survived by his three daughters, Paula Verdosci and her husband David, Rhonda Mesenbourg and her husband Tim, and Nicole Ventresca and her spouse Joseph Mangino; five grandchildren, Nicholas Mesenbourg and his fiancé Emily Guerrette, Anna Verdosci and her fiancé Jeremy Wong, Emily, Gabriella, and Samantha Verdosci; brother Raymond Ventresca; sister Marilyn Dichiara and her husband Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Ventresca.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 30 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St., Thomaston. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury.
